Rebecca East
Campus Minister
Originally born and reared - a Texan, Rebecca and her husband, Morris, moved to Baton Rouge in 1975. They both did their undergraduate and graduate work at LSU. Their two daughters are LSU graduates, but hesitantly admitted her son transferred to Georgia. Rebecca's duties at Christ the King this year consist of working with RCIA, and Households of Faith, family faith formation. She commented that she is "available to share a cool drink and conversation with anyone." In her free time outside of the church, she enjoys traveling, reading, eating out with her husband, good "old" movies, and art. Rebecca (a.k.a. Martha) recently began writing icons, and she enjoys surprising the pastor, a difficult thing to do. When asked what she likes most about LSU, she responded with "The things I like most about LSU after its fiercely loyal fans, are the students, the campus and its history." Her favorite church song is "Amazing Grace."
