Fr. Paul Gros is delighted to be at Christ the King!  He grew up  in Baton Rouge in Shenandoah neighborhood near St Michael High School.  He attended Mass at Most Blessed Sacrament and it was there that he attended elementary and middle school.  From there he went to Catholic High School for four years.  When he was a senior, he began thinking about the priesthood. He graduated from Catholic High in 2000, and went to the University of Southern Miss for the next three years.  (He NOW KNOWS that God had a much better plan for him and has now brought him to LSU!) After those three years of discerning if God was really calling him to the seminary, he decided to "drop everything" and give it a shot.  In the Fall of 2003, he enrolled in St Joseph Seminary College while being sponsored by the Diocese of Baton Rouge.  From there, the Lord kept calling him to continue his studies and discernment and he enrolled in Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans in the Fall of 2005.  He spent four years at Notre Dame before being ordained to the priesthood on May 30, 2009. Since being a seminarian, he has served at St John's in Bruly, St Jean Vianney, and Immaculate Conception in Denham Springs.

He is looking forward to meeting you in the near future!
