  • Pastor

  • Fr Bob Stine is Pastor of Christ the King.  He comes to us from St. Mary's in New Roads where he was pastor for the past six years.  Prior to St. Mary's he was pastor of Holy Rosary Parish in St. Amant for twelve years.  He has also served as pastor at St. Francis Cabrini in Livonia and St. John the Baptist in Zachary.  While an Associate Pastor at St. Isidore in Baker, he served as Prison Chaplain at Louisiana Training Institute.  Fr. Bob loves to fish, play golf and ride his bicycle.  His mother (his father is deceased), lives in Laplace along with two of his three sisters. He has seven nieces, one of whom is a senior at LSU, and one nephew.  Fr. Bob did his theological studies at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans.  He then, came to L.S.U. to study psychology.  Finally he received his Masters in Christian Spirituality from Creighton University in Omaha.  Campus ministry will be a new challenge that he is looking forward to undertaking.  He asks the Spanish speaking community to be patient and tolerant of his less than stellar attempts at that language!

He looks forward to getting to know the people of Christ the King Church and Catholic Student Center.
