Worship Ministries
Becoming a minister in any of the WORSHIP MINISTRIES requires participation at a training session, and serving at scheduled Masses. The staff contact for all these ministries is Sherry Leger at extension 23.

Cross Bearer
Carry the processional cross at the beginning and end of Mass. This important minister sets the stage for the entire liturgy.

Communion Minister
Assist the presider in preparing for and distributing the Eucharist to the assembly. Ministers needs to be a confirmed Catholic and should show a sense of reverence for the Eucharist and have a sense of presence to others.

Hospitality Minister/Usher
Greet worshipers, distribute the bulletin before Mass, assist in seating, accept offerings by "passing the basket".

Lector/Reader
Proclaim Scripture to the assembly. Requires an ability to read fluently, clearly, and with feeling. Preparation includes prayer and study of your assigned scripture reading. Needs to be a practicing Catholic.

Musician
Sing or play a musical instrument with a group for Mass. Requires a good ear for music and the ability to sing or play an instrument with a group. Music ministers meet weekly for practice.

Liturgical Dancer
Add to special liturgies by participating in prayerful liturgical movement. Formal or informal dance training is helpful.

Sacristan
This ministry includes setting up for Sunday masses, recruiting liturgical ministers for these masses, and picking up afterwards. The sacristan must be willing to come early to set up and stay a few minutes afterwards to clean up. For more information, please contact Sherry Leger.
