Sacrament of Baptism - Parents wishing to have their child baptized at Christ the King must be registered parishioners. Parents and Godparents must complete the baptismal preparation seminar. Please contact Kathy Screen in the parish office two months prior to the baptism date. Baptisms are normally celebrated the second Sunday each month at 10 a.m. Mass.
How Does One Become Catholic? - RCIA (Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults) process is for anyone interested in learning about the Catholic faith. Sessions are Wednesday evening 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. in the Borders Room (second floor Admin Building). No pre-registration is necessary. For more information, contact Shell Branscum in the Parish Office.
Confirmation Sessions - Classes (for baptized, practicing Catholics) will begin September 6, 2011 at 6:30 p.m. in the Borders Room. High school students must be registered in Households of Faith. If you are interested in receiving the sacrament of Confirmation this November, please plan to attend these sessions held each Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. For more info please contact Fr. Sacrament of Marriage - Couples are asked to contact a priest before making any arrangements. There is a six months' preparation period which includes an Engaged Encounter and a FOCCUS Inventory. The FOCCUS Inventory is administered at 6:00 pm the first Tuesday every month.
Religious Education for Children - Children who do not attend Catholic school are required to attend religious education. Christ the King's religious education program, Households of Faith, meets twice a month after 10 am Mass. Parents as well as children are required to attend sessions. First Communion and First Reconciliation - For children of registered Parishioners. Children must be receiving Religious Education either in Catholic school or at Christ the King's school of religion, Households of Faith, in order to begin preparation for these sacraments. Additional instruction for both child and parents is required. Contact Rebecca East.
Spiritual Direction - Christ the King has certified spiritual directors on staff. Spiritual direction is a tool for discernment and spiritual growth. Spiritual direction is available free of charge, sessions are once a month for one hour. Contact Kathy Screen.
